Farmed fish plenty of them in the Sea

The US House of Representatives sealed the fate of the Frankenfish as they voted to prohibit the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) from approving this Genetically Modified fish for human consumption. This came less than a week ago after US aquaculture received a boost from the Obama Administration.

Its new guidelines that are designed to help promote and stimulate open ocean aquaculture (OOA) or the development of fish farms in federal waters (three to 200 miles offshore). The basic idea is to improve and increase aquaculture thus creating more jobs and improving the economic growth of the industry. The zone that is targeted by the new policy is the Gulf of Mexico.
