Dr Mian N Riaz will be speaking at the One Day Short Course in Aqua Feed in Abu Dhabi.
Dr Riaz is Director of the Food Protein R&D Centre and Head of the Extrusion Technology Program and of the graduate faculty of the Nutrition and Food Science Department at Texas A&M University, USA.
He has published 5 books, 22 chapters and more than 100 papers on extrusion and other related topics. Three of his books are in the area of extrusion: Extruders in Food Application; Extruders and Expanders in Pet Food, Aquatic and Livestock Feeds; and Extrusion Problems Solved.
One of his books is in the area of Soy Application in Foods. Dr Riaz is a frequent speaker at international and national conferences and meetings and so far he has delivered more than 300 presentations in 55 countries. Every year he organises 4 courses in the area of extrusion. He has been with the Texas A&M system for 23 years.
Dr Riaz's talk will be titled ‘Introduction to Extrusion'.
